Sagittarius

November 22 – December 21

Fire Mutable Jupiter
honestadventurousbluntoptimistic

The archer aims past the horizon on principle. Sagittarius treats life like an airport with no gates closed, and somehow your luck mostly holds.

About Sagittarius

Sagittarius wants more of whatever is happening, and if nothing is happening, they'll find something. Jupiter rules here, and Jupiter is about expansion — more countries, more ideas, more late-night conversations that start about one thing and end somewhere else entirely. The curiosity is real and the optimism is mostly constitutional. Sagittarius people tend to believe things will work out, not naively but as a working assumption that keeps them moving.

The challenge is precision. Sagittarius shoots arrows and the aim is sometimes approximate. They'll commit to something big and then the details pile up and suddenly it's less interesting. Honesty is another double edge — Sagittarius is blunt in a way that's refreshing when the truth needed saying and brutal when it didn't. They're not usually trying to hurt. They just say the thing, and tact can feel like a waste of a perfectly good sentence.

Origin

The Babylonians saw Sagittarius as the god Nergal — a centaur-like figure who was simultaneously warrior and healer, an archer with a scorpion's tail. The centaur association in Greek tradition usually falls to Chiron, the wise teacher who trained Achilles, Heracles, and Jason, though some accounts name Crotus the satyr instead. Jupiter's rulership comes from Roman astrology: Jupiter governed philosophy, law, long-distance travel, and foreign cultures — all things Sagittarius had been associated with since the Babylonian period, centuries before Rome named the planet.

Love

You need a co-pilot, not an anchor. The fastest way to lose you is to clip your wings; the fastest way to keep you is to grab a bag and come along.

Career

Big picture is your home turf. Pitch the vision, then resist the urge to leave before the boring middle. The middle is where the money lives.

Health

Your optimism writes checks your knees cash. Stretch before the adventure, not after the injury. And your liver heard what you said about moderation.
